- The Petrie’s in the TV hit <i>The Dick Van Dyke Show</i> lived in New Rochelle. The couple, Rob and Maura Petrie, was played by Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore. The show was big back in the early 1960s.
- The well-loved Coca-cola commercial of Mean Joe Green was shot in New Rochelle in 1979.
- The 1986 horror movie <i>Scream for Help</i> was filmed in New Rochelle.
- Mitch and Barbara Robbins of the 1994 <i>City Slickers</i> moved to New Rochelle for <i>City Slickers II</i>.
- The Greentree Country Club on Davenport Neck was the movie location of the 1996 romantic comedy <i>Love Is All There Is</i>.
- Since Frank Abagnale of <i>Catch Me If You Can</i> grew up in New Rochelle, earlier parts of the movie was shot in the city.
- There are a number of scenes in the Brad Pitt and George Clooney starrer <i>Burn After Reading</i> that were shot in Sutton Manor.
- The music video of Fall Out Boy’s <i>Dance, Dance</i> was shot at the gym of one of the New Rochelle’s Catholic schools, the Salesian High School.
